Megan Rich, MM, is a pianist, researcher, and pedagogue. She teaches beginner and advanced Group Piano, Music Theory, Aural Skills, and Applied Piano. She is a DMA Candidate in Piano Pedagogy at the University of South Carolina, where she studied under Dr. Sara Ernst, Dr. Scott Price, Dr. Omar Roy, and Dr. Charles Fugo.
Professor Rich graduated with a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Idaho in 2019, where she studied under Dr. Roger McVey and Dr. Jovanni-Rey de Pedro. She has performed solo and collaborative recitals across the country.
Professor Rich is affiliated with the Frances Clark Center, an international non-profit organization promoting keyboard pedagogy, and assists with the National Conference on Keyboard Pedagogy as well. She has a passion for pedagogical research and has published and presented many works related to piano pedagogy. She is certified in the Kodály Method and her research focuses on the intersection of the Kodály Method with traditional piano pedagogy.
