Beta Gamma Sigma

The University of South Carolina Aiken Chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma was officially created on November 20, 2003. Dr. Carl Gooding of Jacksonville State University presided over the festivities and not only made the UofSC Aiken chapter official, but also inducted 19 students and 6 faculty members into the prestigious honor society.

Beta Gamma Sigma, established in 1919, is the only scholastic honor society recognized by AACSB International. Beta Gamma Sigma amended its constitution in 1921 to restrict the installation of new chapters to collegiate schools of business which are accredited members of AACSB International. UofSC Aiken's School of Business Administration received its initial AACSB accreditation in April 2000.
