Check-in and Check-out Information
Summer Intern Housing is available between the dates of Sunday, May 14, 2023, to Sunday, July 30, 2023. Dates are subject to change.
Check-in will occur on Sundays from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM in the Pacer Downs office. You may vacate the space earlier than the date on your application, but no refund will be processed.
If you are in need of early arrival or late departure, please note that this will only be accepted on the availability of residential rooms and are not guaranteed. Any rental period not falling between the dates above must secure approval from the Director of Housing and Residence Life.
Information on Residential Building
All Summer Interns will be housed in Pacer Downs during the summer 2023 semester. Pacer Downs is a furnished outside apartment style building with a full kitchen, living room area, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and closet. University Housing will be making all housing assignments prior to arrival on campus. Please go to your main page and scroll down to the bottom for a virtual tour of the building!

- Bed Linens that will fit a Twin XL
- Hangers, laundry supplies, seasonal clothing
- Personal hygiene products and toiletries
- Shower curtain, rings, and bathmat
- Towels, hand towels, and washcloths
- Cleaning supplies, vacuum, dust pan, Swiffer, broom, etc.
- Toilet paper and paper towels
- Small microwave, coffee maker, cutlery, cups, pots, and pans
Rates and Payments
$126.25 plus 12% tax = $141.40 per week
Double as a Single
$167.50 plus 12% tax = $187.60 per week

Payments are due on the Sunday of each week and may be made through cash or check in the Central Housing Office or with credit card through the online link. A secured “Housing Drop Box” on the Central Housing office door may be used for payments if after normal business hours. Cash payments will need to be the exact amount and checks will need to be made out to USC Aiken University Housing. Payments are considered late if not met on Sunday and will be assessed a $50.00 late fee. If you wish to pay in full for the entire time, this may be done.
Interns that are being sponsored by an organization for payments will need to complete the Intern Sponsoring Application below. If the sponsoring organization does not complete the application, all payments will be directed back to the intern. Only one Intern Sponsoring Application will need to be completed if an organization is sponsoring more than one intern, but each intern will need to complete the Summer Intern Housing Application.
University Housing strongly encourages incoming interns to acquire their own renter’s insurance before moving onto campus. USC Aiken, nor University Housing, is responsible for damages to or losses of your personal property as stated in the University Housing Community Guide.

Mail sent to the USC Aiken address will not be delivered to you, as University Housing mail does not go through the USC Aiken mail room.
University Housing and USC Aiken Policies
All USC Aiken and University Housing policies contained within the Community Guide will remain in effect throughout the summer. Failure to comply may result in immediate removal.
