Honors Program

Offering opportunities for enriched learning experiences

Established in 1991 and expanded in 2005, the UofSC Aiken's Honors Program offers academically talented, highly motivated students opportunities for enriched learning experiences both in and outside the classroom.

Honors students participate in a unique learning community that enjoys small classes and independent study under the direction of USC Aiken's best teacher-scholars in a program that cultivates critical thinking, analysis, and creative expression.

Incoming honors students who have received a letter of invitation or who have a high school GPA of 3.5 or higher (4.0 on the SC Uniform Grading Scale) and an SAT score of 1170 and/or ACT score of 25 may apply to the Honors Program. Continuing university students with 45 credit hours or less and a UofSC Aiken GPA of 3.5 or higher may also apply.
