Dr. Brandon Baskett
Dr. Brandon Baskett is a native of Aiken, South Carolina, but resides in Columbia, South Carolina. He is a believer, and he also has been married to his college sweetheart, Christina (Pressley) Baskett, since 2012. They have two beautiful daughters, Chloe Grace and Brooke Gianna.
An educator for 11 years, Dr. Baskett serves as Dean for Higher Educator Services in Lexington County School District One (S.C.). Since 2020, he has coordinated dual enrollment programming for the district’s high schools. Additionally, he is the founding director of the district’s early college high school program, known as The College Center (TCC). This program recruits first-generation students and those who benefit from a nontraditional approach to high school and college.
Before filling his current role, he previously served as a high school assistant principal, high school English teacher, and assistant varsity boys’ basketball coach. His passion for education and mentoring inspired him to better serve his community as the founder and president of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Seeds of Wisdom. Since 2017, their team has worked to promote the importance of integrity, discipline, education, and ambition (IDEA) to middle and high school boys in the Columbia, SC, area. Their vision is to see today’s boys develop into young men who create a better tomorrow.
Dr. Baskett holds a B.A. in Secondary Education from the University of South Carolina-Aiken, an M.Ed. in Educational Administration from the University of South Carolina, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Liberty University.
