The PacerPrint program is a printing system that encourages responsibility and effectiveness in printing. Students will use the PacerPrint system to print from computer classrooms, labs, and the library. When you choose to print in computer labs and classrooms, PacerPrint will present a pop-up screen showing the cost of the job and your available Carolina Cash balance. You then have the option to print or cancel the job. When you print, your Carolina Cash account will be debited and the print job can be picked up from the lab or classroom printer.
HOW MUCH CAN I PRINT?
A portion of the technology fee you pay will be applied to your Carolina Cash account each semester you are enrolled. The printing allotment per semester (fall and spring) is equivalent to 100 single-sided pages or 200 printed pages if you use the recommended two-sided printing. Summer printing allotments are equivalent to 30 single-sided pages during each summer session and 20 single-sided pages during Maymester. You can choose to use your allotment to print in other formats such as color, single-sided, or larger paper formats. However, different formats such as color laser printing are more expensive and will use your free printing allotment more quickly.
Two-sided Printing (recommended)
Double-sided pages do not count as two prints, saves paper, and is encouraged.
Adding Money to Account
If you exceed your printing allotment for the semester, you can increase your printing balance by using your Carolina Cash account under the Financial tab on VIP using a credit or debit card. The minimum amount that can be added to your account is $10.
The free printing allotment is earmarked specifically for printing, but any funds you directly put on your Carolina Cash can be rolled over to the next semester, used anywhere Carolina Cash is accepted, and/or be refunded upon graduation or withdrawal from USC Aiken.
